HOW YOU CAN HELP
We need your support
We could not do what we do without the support of individuals, businesses, organizations,
churches, and YOU.
We welcome:
- Your time as a volunteer
- Your financial support
- Your in-kind donations.

Volunteer
Would you like to help?
There are many ways you can volunteer. The Events page lists upcoming activities and the person in charge of the event. Of course, you may also check with the managers of any one of the homes (see Homes & Locations) if you would like to become an ElderCare Network volunteer.
Volunteers help with whatever’s needed.
They read to residents and play games with them.
They teach exercise classes, provide manicures, plant perennials in garden borders, and keep bird feeders filled.
They escort residents to Moody’s for pie, to Round Top for ice cream or to movie matinees in Brunswick and Rockland.
Sometimes a volunteer arrives at an eldercare home with a floral bouquet, a handful of DVDs, or even a very friendly visiting puppy.
Occasionally a volunteer—it might be a middle school student—delights a resident by delving into the fascinating ground of personal history.
The classes in painting with water colors offered by one volunteer have been so successful that residents have twice had their own show at Damariscotta’s Skidompha Library.
ElderCare Network welcomes people of any age to find “opportunities for kindness” as
volunteers in our homes.
