The ElderCare Network of Lincoln County is developing six homes for the elderly in villages throughout Lincoln County. Three are now fully operational, and an additional three will open between the fall of 2001 and the summer of 2002. All of the Network's homes are licensed by the Department of Human Services, State of Maine, and eligible to receive Medicaid funds for residents who qualify.
Applications for potential residents are available through the administrator listed below, or by contacting the individual home. Visitors to the homes are most welcome; it is only requested that you phone ahead to schedule a convenient time.
The services in Adult Family Care Homes are individualized to the resident's needs and encourage the resident's right to independence, choice and decision-making while providing a safe and secure environment. Resident needs are addressed in a manner which supports and enables the individuals to maximize abilities to function at the highest level of independence possible.
Adult Family Care Services include personal care services such as assistance with activities of daily living; observation, monitoring, cueing and supervision of a resident to ensure and promote health and safety; supervision or assistance with physician ordered medications; and consulting nursing services.
A Resident Manager resides in the home and is responsible for the care of residents on a day-to-day basis and supervision of other caregivers. Trained caregivers staff the homes 24 hours a day.
